About our preschool

Preschool days and hours

Our preschool operates the same days and hours as the primary school and provides a quality play-based learning program for up to 80 children per week.

The preschool operates two attendance patterns. Families may request a preference for an attendance pattern on enrolment. However, attendance patterns are not guaranteed.

Preschool program

Preschool programs support children’s learning and development through play-based activities and help your child to become more independent, make new friends and get ready to start school.

Transition to school

We support a positive transition to Kindergarten by forming strong connections between children, families and school staff, fostering a sense of belonging and giving children the best start in learning.

Fees

We do not charge fees to attend our preschool. NSW public preschools are funded by the NSW government.

Attendance

Public preschools enrol children for one year only, the year before they start school.

Children can enrol from the beginning of the school year if they turn 4 years of age before 31 July that year.

How to enrol

Priority is given to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander children, children living in low socio-economic circumstances and children who are unable to access other early childhood settings due to financial hardship.

We accept children from any area, but families within the school’s catchment area are given priority.

Families wishing to enrol their child need to complete the  expression of interest to enrol in a NSW public preschool  (PDF 316.2 KB) and submit to the school office.

Families offered a preschool place for their child will then be asked to complete the  application to enrol in a NSW public preschool  (PDF 713KB).
